Development Leader for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
Närhälsan offers close primary care of the highest quality. With hundreds of clinics in Västra Götaland, we are close to the residents throughout their lives and make a difference for their health. We take care of you and offer development throughout your professional life.
Vårdsamverkan Fyrbodal is a platform for collaboration between healthcare and municipalities in the Fyrbodal area on issues related to care, support, welfare, and school/student health.
Vårdsamverkan Fyrbodal will drive a development project in mental health and suicide prevention during 2026 and 2027. Every year, people take their own lives – behind every number is a person, a family, a network. Now you have the opportunity to contribute to work that can save lives and create hope. Vårdsamverkan Fyrbodal is looking for a development leader for mental health and suicide prevention who wants to drive change and strengthen preventive work in our sub-region.
You will be part of a two-year project based on the national strategy “It’s About Life” and the upcoming regional joint plan for mental health and suicide prevention. Together with engaged actors within municipalities, regions, emergency services, and civil society, you will create structures, spread knowledge, and build collaboration – so that no one has to find themselves in a situation where suicide feels like the only option.
About the Work
You will work on behalf of Vårdsamverkan Fyrbodal and in close collaboration with various partners to identify needs for interventions and strengthen collaborative capacity in the joint preventive work.
The goal is to develop and anchor the intentions of the national strategy from the inventory conducted within Vårdsamverkan Fyrbodal with a broad interdisciplinary perspective. The assignment has a wide scope and can vary over time, depending on the partners' conditions and the issues at hand. As a development leader, you will be a key person in the work to:
- support partners in identifying needs and prioritizing interventions
- implement working methods and approaches
- establish contacts and create forums for knowledge and experience exchange
- contribute to the dissemination of proven methods through workshops, conferences, and webinars
- work closely with process leaders and communicators to drive cultural change and reduce stigma around mental illness and suicide
- monitor the external environment and gather knowledge for the benefit of the sub-regional work and contribute to the development of the joint suicide prevention work.
About You
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in behavioral science, public health, social work, healthcare, or similar. Previous experience in development work regarding mental health at a structural level is an advantage.
You are a driven person, structured, and have the ability to work both independently and in teams. You have the ability to drive processes forward with a problem-solving attitude that you can also convey to others. As a person, you find it easy to take initiatives and make contacts with representatives of organizations and clients.
You have experience and the ability to operate within the conditions that characterize a public and politically governed organization. Likewise, experience in collaborative development work between different actors is valuable.
You need to have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing and can compile and present complex information in an easily accessible way. You are comfortable speaking in front of both small and large groups.
Other
The position is part-time at 50% for two years, with a start date by agreement. The collaboration office is located in Uddevalla. Interviews are planned for March 3 and March 12 in Uddevalla.
